My Favorite Art Supplies...
I've been meaning to make this list for a long time and I'm sure I will forget some things so if you have any questions feel free to reach out, as I'm more than happy to share!
Please note, some of the below items are affiliate links, in which I make a small commission at no extra cost to you.
PAPER:
I hand make my sketchbooks using my favorite Fabriano Artistico 140 lb Hot Press Paper. Here's a link to the tutorial of how I make them. Each sketchbook takes 2 full sheets so you'll be able to get 4 good sized, high quality sketchbooks out of this pack.
Palette Paper is amazing! I still use yogurt lids when I'm in a pinch but I really love having a larger surface to mix my paints on if I can.
PAINTS & MARK MAKING:
In acrylics and when painting larger work I use a variety of paint brands & paint thicknesses. I am currently loving Golden's Heavy Body Fluorescents , Golden's Fluid Acrylics, especially Payne Gray and flat house paint.
In my sketchbooks I mostly use Holbein Acryla Gouache for paint. I love that it's a flat finish and they come in small tubes making it easy to travel with. This is probably my favorite color right now.
These Caran D'Ache Neocolor Watercolor Chalks have become a regular part of my sketchbooks. They make it super easy & fun to get a variety of color down, draw and make marks.
Derwent Inktense Watercolor Pencils have amazing color, easy to travel with and are permanent. I'm also a big fan of the Inktense Blocks, Watercolor Brushes and their small Watercolor Travel Set.
MISC. SUPPLIES:
DAS Air Dry Clay for making ornaments or small sculpted things.
This Projector for murals and transferring small sketches to large canvases. I love how small and easy it is to use with my phone or iPad.
D Rings for hangers on Large Canvases and these for smaller canvases.
