This is an original hand-painted piece created from my 100-day practice of loose florals—some stayed free and flowy, others naturally grew more detailed, and a few birds even flew in along the way! This series is all about showing up, experimenting, and following the joy in the work. I’m thrilled with how these pieces emerged and grateful to share them here.
Framing Tips:
These pieces are an unusual size, so to keep framing simple and affordable, I used a solid 11"x14" mat board and this frame from Amazon. The mat came in a cool tone, so I brushed a bit of cream paint over it—totally optional, but a fun touch if you want it to feel warmer. I centered the artwork on the mat with double-sided tape and placed it all in the frame. I love how this method lets the torn edges and little imperfections show through—they’re part of the charm of the original art.
