This original painting is part of my 2026 100 Day Project, where I challenged myself to explore five different subjects—20 days each of flowers, birds, faces, horses, and cats. The project for me is all about exploring curiosity, the idea of a creative discipline, and discovering what happens when you simply keep showing up. Each of these pieces reflect that spirit of exploration, allowing shape, color, and intuition to lead the way.
Framing Tips:
These pieces are an unusual size, so to keep framing simple and affordable, I used a solid 11"x14" mat board and this frame from Amazon. The mat came in a cool tone, so I brushed a bit of cream paint over it—totally optional, but a fun touch if you want it to feel warmer. I centered the artwork on the mat with double-sided tape and placed it all in the frame. I love how this method lets the torn edges and little imperfections show through—they’re part of the charm of the original art.
